A clinical licensed social worker is a professional who has completed a Master’s degree in social work and has obtained a license to practice clinical social work. Clinical social workers provide mental health services to clients in various settings, including hospitals, schools, private practices, and community agencies. They are trained to assess and diagnose mental health disorders, provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, and develop treatment plans to help clients manage their mental health concerns.
On the other hand, therapist is a broader term encompassing a range of mental health professionals, including clinical social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors. Therapists provide mental health services to clients to help them manage and overcome a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and relationship problems.
